Alex Harper has been playing music for over 30 years, working across styles like blues, jazz, country, acoustic, pop, and worship. He has recorded with local artists and gigged throughout the Southeast, bringing real-world musical experience into every lesson.

Alex focuses on starting with the music students already enjoy, using familiar songs to build strong fundamentals, technique, and a practical understanding of theory. His goal is to help students feel comfortable with how songs are constructed and why harmonic and melodic choices work.

Teaching from beginners to advanced players, Alex begins lessons by learning each student’s goals and motivations, then quickly moves into making music—helping students develop confidence, their own musical voice, and the joy of creating.
